A Delhi court has postponed its decision on whether to frame charges against former Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a sexual harassment case filed by six female wrestlers. The court has scheduled the order for April 26, following Singh's request for further investigation into his presence at the WFI office on September 7, 2022, the date of one alleged incident.

Singh's defense argued that the prosecution's analysis of call detail records (CDR) indicated his alleged presence during the reported incident, despite his claim of being out of the country at the time. However, Advocate Rajiv Mohan asserted that the Delhi Police hadn't submitted the CDR as evidence.

Opposing Singh's plea, the Delhi Police contended that he had ample opportunity to raise these points earlier. The petitioners' counsel criticized Singh's application as a delaying tactic.

The Delhi Police had filed its charge sheet against Brij Bhushan on June 15 last year under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
